Backup your Blogger template (and Restore It!)

So now, lets begin.

In case you do any customization to your blogger blog, chances are that you may break something. Especially if you are messing with the template code and adding custom widgets, you may very easily make a mistake and the template may just get totally messed up. It is much better to just have a backup if anything goes wrong so that you can go back to the template before the changes that were made to them.

How to backup your template?

Step 1: Navigate to http://draft.blogger.com/home that is your blogger home. This is the draft blogger home. You can do it by the usual link as well, without the draft part, but this is the latest blogger interface. So check it out if you haven’t yet!

Step 2: Select your blog to backup.

Step 3: Click the Template.

Step 4: You will see this page

Simply Click on the Backup/Restore button.

Step 5:

Now just download the whole template by clicking on the Download full template button. The file will be downloaded as an xml file.

Now you can Restore your Blogger template whenever you wish.
